QConvergenceConsole - Statistics Description


What are the definitions for the statistics categories, e.g. Port Errors and Device Errors, as displayed on HBA port via QCC?


Excerpted from the QConvergeConsole CLI Users Guide (for 2400, 2500, 2600, 3200, 4000, 8100, 8200, 8300, and 10000 Series Adapters). Following are the definitions of the counters from QCC CLI and QCC GUI:

HBA Port Errors – Number of errors for this adapter port reported by the adapter's driver. 
Device Errors – Number of device errors reported by the adapter's driver. 
Reset – Number of LIP resets reported by the adapter's driver. 
           I/O Count – Total number of I/Os reported by the adapter's driver. 
           IOPS – Number of I/Os processed by the adapter port per second. 
           BPS – Number of bytes processed by the adapter port per second. 

In addition to the definitions above, the Device Errors are "SCSI Check Conditions", and the Port Errors are "ISP aborts" from the firmware.
