License Activation May Report Erroneous Messages

Answer
 License Key Activation Center may report erroneous messages when trying to retrieve Port Upgrade License key. Such error messages may include:
1. Your request could not be processed successfully. Please contact QLogic technical support.
2. Please enter correct transaction code.
  • The Switch serial number may not have been entered correctly.
  •  
  • When entering in the switch serial numbers or transaction codes into the QLogic website, please use all capital letters.
  •  
  • Do not use lower case letters. In addition, be careful to interpret the correct characters.
  •  
  • Make sure that you differentiate between "0" and "O". (In other words, zero versus an O). For example, the McDATA 4416 switch serial number starts with "US0", not "USO".
